GO3S – Permanent Surveillance from Space

The GO3S (Geostationary Observation Space Surveillance system) is a revolutionary concept enabling a continuous surveillance over a given area of interest, with an outstanding responsiveness.

A Key Data Source for Surveillance Applications

With the capacity to generate video and the ability to track and detect moving targets in real time, the geostationary GO3S satellite will enhance today’s Earth observation capacities as it operates independent of any orbital constraints – the start of a whole new era for Earth observation applications.

Its observation area of 100 x 100 km² as well as a resolution of 3 m, GO3S is particularly suitable for surveillance applications – both on land and in the maritime domain.

Contrary to today’s Earth observation systems (which typically circle the Earth on a polar orbit at about 800 km height and can cover any area of the Globe), GO3S is a geostationary system at ~36.000 km, set to acquire imagery or video from Space inside a selected area of interest (e.g a continent).
