CEO Airbus Defence and Space
Dirk Hoke is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Airbus Defence and Space as of 1 April 2016, succeeding Bernhard Gerwert. He started on 1st of January as Deputy CEO. He is a member of the Airbus Group Executive Committee.
Dirk Hoke joined Airbus Group from Siemens, where he had been CEO of the Large Drives Business Unit since 2014. He has held various executive-level positions at Siemens since becoming CEO of the Cluster Western & Central Africa in 2008. His career spans 21 years and five continents.
Executive Vice President Space Systems
Nicolas Chamussy became Executive Vice President Space Systems in the Airbus Defence and Space Division on 1 July 2016.
Chamussy was appointed Chief of Staff to Airbus Group CEO Tom Enders in July 2012. Prior to assuming this position, he served as Head of Mission Air Systems leading UAV programmes in the former EADS Cassidian Division from 2008, and was the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) Programme Manager for the former Astrium space Division from 2004 to 2008. Nicolas Chamussy, born in July 1967, holds degrees from École polytechnique, École Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées, and Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
Executive Vice President Military Aircraft
Fernando Alonso named new Head of Military Aircraft at Airbus Defence and Space and joins Airbus Defence and Space Executive Committee, replaces Domingo Ureña-Raso. Fernando Alonso has been working with Airbus for many years and has a profound knowledge of the A400M as well as the other military aircraft programmes. Since 2007, Fernando Alonso has served as Head of Flight Test Operations at Airbus. He was named as Head of Military Aircraft, Airbus Defence and Space on 29 January 2015 and will take up his new position on 1 March 2015. He will join the Airbus Defence and Space Executive Committee. Previously he was Senior Vice President Flight and Integration Tests, Head of Flight Operations since September 2007, and, before that, Vice President Flight Test Division since February 2002.
Executive Vice President Communication, Intelligence and Security
Evert Dudok was Head of Astrium Services prior to his new role. The Dutchman is a trained electrical engineer and has been working in the space industry for 30 years.
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Julian Whitehead has been working in the defence and aerospace industry for two decades. He took over the reins at Cassidian Finance in 2012. Before that, he was CFO of the defence company MBDA.
Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales
Bernhard Brenner was appointed Executive Vice-President Marketing & Sales within Airbus Defence and Space in March 2017. Before this nomination he led the Intelligence Business Cluster of Airbus Defence and Space since March 2013. Bernhard started his career in Airbus in 1993 (former EADS) in the Young Management Programme of Deutsche Aerospace, holding various sales and marketing positions in Munich, Rome and Paris.
Executive Vice President Human Resources
Lars Immisch served as Head of Compensation and Benefits at EADS and Airbus. Prior to that, he held several leading HR and Finance positions in the former EADS Defence and Security Division. Mr. Immisch leads the HR organizations, providing state-of-the-art HR Services in line with the business mission and objectives.
Executive Vice President Engineering
Grazia Vittadini was appointed Executive Vice President Engineering in January 2017. She is member of the Executive Committee of Airbus Defence and Space. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President Head of Corporate Audit & Forensic, responsible for Airbus Group audit activities worldwide.
Prior to this position, Grazia was Vice President Head of Airframe Design and Technical Authority for all Airbus aircraft.
Head of Engineering and Operations
André-Hubert Roussel was appointed Head of Engineering and Operations of Airbus Defence and Space and Head of A400M Industrialization as of February 18th 2016, remaining Head of Engineering, which he has been since September 1st 2015. In January 2015, he was appointed head of Operations and Quality for the Space Systems business line of Airbus Defence and Space.
Head of the Unmanned Aerial Systems programme line & civil and military UAS programmes
Jana Rosenmann was named Head of the Unmanned Aerial Systems programme line in March 2017. In this position she is responsible for all civil and military UAS programmes within Airbus and is a member of the Airbus Defence and Space Executive Committee. Since October 2015 she already headed all defence related UAS programmes within the Airbus Defence and Space division. Previously, she was the Head of Strategy & Marketing at Airbus Defence and Space, responsible for managing the strategy and portfolio of the division.
Head of Digital Transformation Office
Since March 2017, Peter Weckesser serves as Airbus Defence and Space´s Digital Transformation Officer. He joined Airbus from Siemens, where he has been the COO of Product Lifecycle Management, leading the Siemens IoT and Digital Enterprise business and activities. Prior to this, he held various executive-level positions at Siemens, being CEO of Industry Services and CEO of Value Service Business Unit, as well as Vice-President of “Human Machine Interface”.
Head of Strategy
Lieutenant General (Ret) Antoine Noguier was nominated Head of Strategy of Airbus Defence and Space on 1 October 2015 as well as Head of Strategy Military Aircraft. Previously Antoine Noguier was in charge of Strategic International Relations within the Strategy and Marketing Organization of Airbus Group. In his role, he was in charge of promoting and supporting defence and security businesses strategic to Airbus, especially on export markets, and also to contributing to prepare for the future.
General Counsel, Head of Legal & Compliance
Andreas Riecker has held a number of positions in Airbus Legal since 1998 in various functions. He worked in Toulouse for three years as Head of Airbus General Counsel Office and Senior Legal Counsel, before heading the legal department of Military Air Systems in Manching, Germany from 2005 until 2011. He then moved on to become Deputy General Counsel of Cassidian and since 2014 was nominated General Counsel of Airbus Defence and Space. Since 2016 his responsibilities also include Compliance. Andreas Riecker reports to the Airbus General Counsel.
